PASSDEED · TERMS OF SERVICE · UPDATED JUNE 2026
Terms, plainly.
1. What PassDeed is
PassDeed is exam-preparation software for U.S. real-estate salesperson licensing exams. Texas, Florida, and California are currently supported, each against its own official exam outline. It runs adaptive question sessions, estimates your readiness statistically, and shows you which content domains need work. It is a study tool — nothing more.
2. No guarantees
Readiness Scores, bands, and domain estimates are statistical estimates with uncertainty, based on practice questions that are original works — not actual exam content. PassDeed does not promise that you will pass any exam, and no score on PassDeed predicts an official result. Passing standards are set by each state's licensing authority — TREC in Texas, the FREC and the DBPR in Florida, and the DRE in California; verify current requirements at trec.texas.gov, myfloridalicense.com, or dre.ca.gov.
3. Affiliation
PassDeed is not affiliated with or endorsed by TREC, FREC, the DBPR, the California DRE, Pearson VUE, or any state regulatory body. Passing standards are set by each state. Verify current requirements at trec.texas.gov (Texas), myfloridalicense.com (Florida), or dre.ca.gov (California).
4. Accounts
You sign in with a one-time email link. You are responsible for the email address you use; anyone with access to that inbox can access your account. One account per person. We may suspend accounts that scrape, redistribute, or systematically copy questions — the item bank is original, copyrighted work.
5. Paid access, payments & refunds
Paid access is a one-time purchase. The access period is stated on the plan you buy: Complete covers 12 months of paid features from the date of purchase; Pass Pro has no fixed end date and remains active while you are still working toward the exam. Payments are processed by Stripe; PassDeed never stores card details. Prices are shown before checkout and include no hidden recurring charges.
Refunds: within 14 days of purchase and provided you have answered fewer than 100 paid practice questions, email support@passdeed.com (or reply to your receipt) and we refund the full amount, no questions asked. In addition, Pass Pro carries a pass-or-refund guarantee: if you complete the diagnostic, reach the recommended readiness band, and still fail the exam, we refund the Pass Pro purchase in full against your official score report while your access is active — a commitment, not a discretionary refund; the full conditions are on the refund policy page. Other refunds after 14 days or substantial use are at our discretion. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
If a renewal or other payment fails, we tell you and give you time to fix it before access pauses; your history is never deleted for a billing issue. You can cancel any recurring plan at any time in the billing portal — access then runs to the end of the paid period.
6. Educational use only
PassDeed is an educational study tool. It is not legal advice, not professional advice for any real-estate transaction, and not a substitute for the pre-license education your state requires — TREC in Texas, the FREC and the DBPR in Florida, and the DRE in California. Readiness estimates inform your studying — they are not predictions, certifications, or qualifications of any kind.
7. Content status
Practice items are original works written for PassDeed. State-law items identify their stated legal basis, and a publication decision is recorded for each item. The thirty questions on our free public practice tests were, in addition, each checked individually against a named primary source. Beyond those thirty we do not maintain an individual verification record for each item. Items are not reviewed by an independent licensed subject-matter expert, and we do not describe them as expert-approved or professionally validated. Statutes and agency rules change; where a rationale identifies a legal source, that reference is provided so you can check it yourself. Report anything that looks wrong and we will review it.
8. Liability
PassDeed is provided as-is. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
